Protect
Floors papered, furniture wrapped, vents masked, doorways zipped. Day one produces zero paint and a room that looks like a clean-room.
Prep
Holes filled, cracks bridged, glossy surfaces deglossed, everything sanded and wiped. Prep is 40% of our hours — it's why the finish lasts.
Prime
Stains sealed, patches spot-primed so they can't flash through the topcoat, bare wood locked down. The step cheap bids quietly delete.
Paint
Two full coats, wet-edge maintained, cut lines pulled freehand by whoever has the steadiest hand on the crew that day. Usually Marcus.
Punch-list
You walk every room with blue tape and flag anything. We leave the labeled touch-up quarts and come back once, free, within the year.

Anyone can make a wall a color. The craft is in the last three millimeters — where the wall meets the ceiling, the trim meets the glass, the enamel meets the light from the window.
That's why we brush our cut lines freehand instead of trusting tape to hold a straight edge on a 1962 plaster ceiling that hasn't been straight since 1963. Why we roll the final coat in one direction so the sheen reads even at 4pm when the sun rakes across it. Why the crew lead's last act on every job is lying on the floor, sighting down the baseboards.
Our painters are employees, not a rotating cast of subs — background-checked, in uniform, and the same faces from first day to final walk-through.
The cut line along our vaulted ceiling is dead straight for twenty feet. I know because my husband checked it with a laser level. Twice.
Cabinets came back looking sprayed at a factory. Five days without drawer pulls was worth it — should have done this two kitchens ago.
They found soft wood on two sills, showed me photos, and adjusted the quote down when the repair was smaller than feared. Finish looks superb a year on.

How long does an average room take?
A standard bedroom is one day: protect and prep in the morning, two coats by late afternoon, hardware and switch plates back on before we leave. Living rooms with tall stairwell walls run a day and a half — the extra half day is scaffolding and a very careful person at the top of it.
Do I have to pick my colors before you quote?
No. The quote covers the work; color can wait. When you're ready, we'll brush out sample boards of your top two or three so you can watch them change from morning to lamplight before committing.
Brush, roller, or sprayer?
All three, each where it belongs. Walls get rolled for texture consistency, trim and doors get sprayed or brushed in enamel depending on the site, and cabinet doors always go through the shop booth. Anyone who gives you a one-word answer to this question owns one tool.
Is the paint safe to sleep around?
We default to zero-VOC lines for interiors — most bedrooms are fine to sleep in the same night. If anyone in the house is pregnant, asthmatic, or four years old and curious, tell us and we'll sequence rooms so nobody bunks next to fresh enamel.
What does a job actually cost?
Most single rooms land between $420 and $780 with paint included; whole-house interiors typically $4,500–$9,500; kitchens from $3,200. Your written quote is line-itemed and holds for 90 days — the number we mail is the number you pay.
