Mockups a week, that's the limit

Each one is custom. First come, first served.

This is what lands in your inbox.

Your trade, your town, your name and your number, on a real page you can click. We've built a full working sample site for 24 kinds of local business, from plumbers to dentists. Click around the one for your trade.

Pick your trade. Open the full sample site.

Every one is a complete site you can tap through on your phone. Yours gets built the same way, with your name on it. Get mine started, free

The other guy isn't better. He's just easier to find.

You've probably lost jobs to someone whose work you'd be embarrassed by. That stings. But he showed up on the phone screen and you didn't. Even when a friend gives out your number, people still type your name into their phone first.

See the sample plumber site we built

You're good at the work. That used to be enough.

It isn't anymore. Not because you got worse. Because the way people pick who to hire changed, and nobody sent you the memo.

They look you up. All of them. If nothing comes up, you just became a stranger. And a Facebook page isn't yours. You built it, they own it, and they can change the rules on Monday or lock you out on Tuesday.

We've been building websites for decades, and the fix hasn't changed: one fast page on a web address you own, with your real work, your town, and your number one tap away. It's also what AI assistants look for now. When someone asks ChatGPT or Google's AI to recommend a local business, the ones with a real website are the ones that get named.

Most owners put it off because a web designer normally wants thousands of dollars up front, before you ever see a thing.

So we took the cost off the table. We design your homepage first. You look at it. Then you decide.

Five steps. You pay at step three.

Only if you love it. You're busy, so all of this takes about an hour of your life, total.

  1. Sixty seconds

    You send the form

Name, how to reach you, what you do. That's the hardest part and it isn't hard.

  2. About 48 hours later

    We design your homepage, free

You get a link to your mockup. Your trade, your town, your name on it. No deposit. No sales call. You just look at it.

  3. The first dollar moves here

    You decide

Love it? Pick your size and put down the first payment. Don't? Tell us what's off and we'll take one more swing, or walk away and keep the design. Either way, no bill.

  4. A few days after that

We finish it and take it live

You review everything before it goes up. It launches on your own web address, in your name. A Town Takeover takes up to three weeks.

  5. The next 90 days

    We watch it, included

PHIT Care comes free: edits, security, hosting help, and a monthly "everything works" check.

Nobody gives a service business more for the money.

That's a big claim, so here's the list. We've been at this for decades and we know what a web project usually costs, and what usually gets left out.

So how do you make money?

A deposit-first designer risks your money. We risk our time.

Any time somebody works before you pay, you should ask what their angle is. Here's ours, with nothing left out.

The mockup costs us a few hours. After decades of building sites, we know what happens when an owner sees their own company on a real homepage for the first time: most say "when can it be live?" That's when we charge, at the flat price on this page.

Some people take the free design and walk. That's fine. It's the price of proving we're good, and it's cheaper than advertising.

No hidden fee. No surprise invoice. No "actually, hosting is through us now." Your domain, hosting and files live in your name from day one, so your site can never be held hostage.

Decades in. Here's recent work.

Real sites for real businesses. They're live right now. Go click them. That's the standard your page gets held to.

Two things you need. Don't have them? Relax.

1. A web address

The thing people type in to find you, like yourbusiness.com. The fancy word is a domain. You rent it, for about the price of a couple of coffees a year.

2. A place to put the site

The fancy word is hosting. If the web address is your street address, hosting is the lot the building sits on. It's usually a few dollars a month.

We'll help you set up both, free.

It takes about fifteen minutes. You pay the provider directly, not us. We don't take a cut and we don't mark it up. It's your account, in your name, with your password. We don't host websites on purpose: it means nobody, including us, can ever hold your site over your head.

You've got questions. You should.

Anyone offering to work before you pay should expect to get grilled. Grill away.

What does this actually cost?

The mockup costs nothing. If you love it, the one-page Starter Site is $997 flat, the three-page Lead Engine is $2,495 flat, and the fifteen-page Town Takeover with a launch blog is $9,997 flat. All three prices are public, and nothing changes on a call. You pay zero until you've seen your homepage and said "build it."

The mockup is really free? Why would you do that?

Because it works. Nobody should have to pay a stranger a deposit and hope. The mockup costs us a few hours, and most owners who see their own business on a real homepage want it finished. That's when we get paid. The few who walk away keep a free design, and we call that the cost of proving we're good. It's cheaper than advertising.

What's the catch?

There isn't a hidden one. No deposit. No design fee. No surprise invoice. You pay only after you approve your mockup, at the flat price listed on this page. Your domain and hosting stay in your own name, paid to the provider, a few dollars a month. If we do a great job, we'd love to show your site in our portfolio and have you tell a friend, but neither is required.

Can I see a website like mine before I ask for a mockup?

Yes. We've built full sample sites for 24 kinds of local business, including plumbers, electricians, roofers, HVAC, landscapers, cleaners, dentists and law firms. Open the one closest to your trade and tap around on your phone. That's the standard. Your free mockup is then designed from scratch for your business, with your name, your town and your number on it.

What if I don't like the mockup?

Tell us what's off and we take one more swing at it, free. If you still don't love it, walk away and keep the design. Take it to another designer if you want. You owe us nothing and nobody will chase you.

Do I actually own the site?

Yes. All of it. It lives on your web address and your hosting, in your name, with your password. You get the files. If you never talk to us again, it keeps right on working. We can't switch it off, because it was never ours.

What is PHIT Care? Is there a monthly fee?

Every build includes 90 days of PHIT Care free: small edits, security, hosting help, and a monthly check that everything works. After 90 days it's $147 a month, and it keeps going unless you cancel. Want blog posts and more pages every month? Growth is $497 and Takeover is $997, and you can switch any month. We say that plainly now so it's never a surprise. Cancelling takes one email, there's no penalty, and your site keeps working either way, because you own it.

Do I need my own domain and hosting?

Yes, and that's for your protection, because it means you own everything. If you don't have them, we help you set both up at no charge. You pay the provider directly, usually a few dollars a month, and the accounts are in your name.

How fast does this happen?

Your mockup is usually ready in about 48 hours. After you approve it, the finished site typically goes live within a few days, or up to three weeks for a Town Takeover. The slow part is almost always waiting on photos, so send those quick and you'll be live quick.

Can I split the payment?

Yes. The Starter Site is $297 down plus two monthly payments of $350. The Lead Engine is $497 down plus three monthly payments of $666. The Town Takeover is $2,497 down plus three monthly payments of $2,500. Same total either way. No credit check, no financing company, no markup.

How is this different from Wix or a free website builder?

A builder gives you tools and leaves the work to you. On the cheap plans it usually shows its own ads, holds your site on its subdomain, and you never really own the thing. We build the whole site for you, from scratch, on your own web address, with no ads, and you own every file. And you see it before you pay, which no builder and no agency offers.

Why not just buy leads from Angi or Thumbtack?

You can, and it never ends. Those platforms charge for every lead, often $85 or more, and they sell the same lead to several of your competitors at once. A website is the opposite: you pay once, you own it, and every call it brings is yours alone. In 2023 the FTC even ordered HomeAdvisor (Angi Leads) to pay up to $7.2 million over how it sold leads to contractors. A site you own is how you stop renting them.

A web designer burned me before. Why are you different?

The classic horror story is a deposit up front, then silence. That can't happen here, because there's no deposit. You pay nothing until the work is in front of your eyes. And the finished site lives in your accounts, not ours, so nobody can ever hold it hostage. One of our clients came to us after losing $24,000 to a previous web guy. His site was live in three days.

Is this a scam?

Fair question. Here's how to check us: we're a real Oregon company, Pithe Digital Group LLC, registry number 257601592, and you can look that up right now. Our phone number is on this page and a real person answers. We never ask for money before you've seen and approved your design, so there's nothing for us to run off with.

Will you sell my information?

No. We use what you send us to build your mockup and talk to you, full stop. We don't sell it, rent it, or hand it to anybody. You can read exactly how we handle it in our privacy policy.

Sixty seconds, tops.

Three boxes. A real person reads every one and writes back, usually the same day. Worst case, you get a free homepage design and never pay a dollar.
